Casa De Luz and the Integrity Academy are proud to be offering a free series of health and wellness events to allow the community to discover all that Austin has to offer in the way of natural living and holistic healing. Held at Casa De Luz, the events will take place every Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., September 20 to December 20.
Rochelle Schieck, creator of Qoya, a movement practice for women that focuses on doing what feels good and reminds participants that their true essence is to be wise, wild and free, will be offering a workshop called Gratitude as a Superpower, two Qoya classes and a Gratitude Despacho Ceremony, from 10 a.m. to noon, October 4 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., October 5, at Castle Hill Fitness at The Studio, in Austin. She will also lead an Introduction to Qoya Teacher Training, October 6, at Casa de Luz.
The Austin Gem and Mineral Society will be hosting Gem Capers 2014 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., October 3 and 4, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., October 5, at the Palmer Events Center, in Austin. This year’s theme is dinosaurs, and the gem and mineral show will include jewelry, beads, gemstones, mineral specimens, crystals, fossils, spheres and lapidary equipment offered by more than 30 vendors.
