Since 1986, the Body Mind Spirit Expo has been dedicated to helping people discover the radiant life that surrounds each individual at every moment. The Expo returns to Austin from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 18, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 19 at the Palmer Events Center. This year’s theme—Feel, Believe, Become—promises the finest presentations, exhibitors and entertainment, all intended to help achieve personal and spiritual growth.
The Amala Foundation, an Austin-based organization offering supportive and inspiring experiences for youth, is seeking volunteers for the 15th annual Camp Indigo to be held July 5 through 24 at Austin Discovery School and Whole Life Learning Center. Due to increased demand, the 2015 camp will have one additional session and will be expanded to a four-week period. Volunteers will assist with activities that blend social emotional learning and a crossculture connection aimed at providing the next generation of leaders with a model of inclusion, compassion, commitment and service.
Renowned author, medium and angel channel Kim O’Neill, voted Houston’s top psychic by Houston Press Magazine, will appear in Austin on July 11 at the Wyndham Garden’s Woodward Conference Center. During her presentation, she will demystify the spirit world by teaching how angelic messages can be incorporated into practical, productive day-to-day decision-making.
Throughout the month of July, Austin-area women will have the opportunity to experience Move, Pray & Play! — a series of four spiritual and wellness gatherings based on qoya, a form of dance and movement. Sessions will feature yoga; Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT); and 5Rhythms, a form of healing through movement. The events will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. every Sunday at Soma Vida, a wellness and workspace center in Austin.
