Bikram Yoga is a specific sequence of 26 poses—also known as asanas—with two breathing exercises, created by Bikram Choudhury with his guru, Bishnu Ghosh, an important physical culturalist and yoga master in Calcutta, India. Sweet Dreams Shares Tale of Resilience and Healing

Sweet Dreams, a documentary film about the women in an all-female drum troupe in Rwanda, who together formed a cooperative and opened Rwanda’s first ice cream parlor, will be shown at two special screenings at 7 p.m., March 18 at Unity Church of the Hills, and at 7 p.m., April 1 at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin. The documentary is a beautiful and deeply moving story of healing and empowerment, of forgiveness and courage and the power of music to unite. In February, The Cancer Wellness Center (TCWC) began seeing cancer patients and survivors for a range of healing therapies at their new clinic at 3921 Steck Avenue, Suite A100, in Austin. Their diverse holistic complementary services include oncology massage therapy; manual lymphatic drainage (MLD); cancer life coaching; support group therapy; Reiki; guided meditation; and acupuncture, which has become increasingly popular as part of an integrative approach to treating the symptoms and manifestations of cancer as the side effects of Western treatments.
