People practice yoga on the south lawn of the Capitol on Sunday June 21, 2015, during the first International Day of Yoga.  About 75 people attended the event which also included speakers, music and additional meditation inside the Capitol.  The event was put on by Art of Living and Overseas Volunteer for a Better India. The second International Day of Yoga celebration will be held at the Capitol building from 6 to 8 p.m., July 30. The free event is open to all and will be marked by the presence of Texas state officials, veterans, yoga studios, celebrities, seniors and children. The program will include 45 minutes of asana sequence, peace meditation, chanting, yoga dance, music and more. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, water and sunscreen, as well as friends and family to celebrate this timeless tradition of yoga unifying our communities.
