Combining the words “awesome” and “cosmic city” to describe Austin in a new way, the Awesmic City Expo 2014 will be an innovative gathering of people interested in building peace, both locally and globally, through the arts, sciences and education. Held at the Palmer Events Center, August 9 and 10, participants will enjoy panel discussions, science exhibits, demonstrations, music concerts, a fashion show of chic nomad designs, a Star Trek hair design showcase, art exhibits and many other opportunities to teach and learn new methods for cultivating a peaceful, healthy and resourceful lifestyle.
Adding excitement, the city of Austin will proclaim August 10 to be Awesmic City, Austin Texas Day, as participants learn how Austin excels as a model city and hub for its diverse creativity. The Expo’s back-to-school timing will give students a boost of excitement for a new season of studies. Attendees will take away techniques, healthy products and resourceful information that will help create a positive shift of advancement for humanity. This valuable information will be shared to reach into our homes, schools, communities and ultimately the world at large, as participants become a part of creating solutions to our challenges in systems that no longer work in this day and age.
Opportunities are available to be an exhibitor, sponsor, speaker, educator, volunteer and performer of this creativity renaissance, where everyone will learn that solutions are abundant when we collaborate as a community, supporting each other during our rapid growth. Fifteen percent of ticket sales go to KOOP Radio.
