Serene Yoga Retreat to Soothe the Soul

By September 30, 2016Local

The Energies Balanced Fall Yoga Retreat returns for a magical weekend of yoga, meditation, music and friendship, October 21 through 23 at the beautiful, 40-acre Davis Ranch Retreat, in Waelder.

Multiple all-level yoga classes will be offered, including hatha, Iyengar and kundalini, starting at sunrise and ending in the moonlight. Participants can test their balance at slacklining; enjoy complimentary chef-prepared meals; relax poolside while listening to live sitar music; meditate and commune with nature; join in a bonfire drum circle; participate in a Lucky Limbo contest; and dancing. A wine and beer bar during the evenings will feature transcendental live music concerts.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own drums and other instruments for a musical jam under the stars. All classes, events and catering are including with price of admission; additional massage, holistic treatments, trigger point therapy, essential oil treatments and tarot readings will be available for a small additional fee.

Host Lisa Johnson says this year’s raffle prize will be a one-night stay in the ranch’s tree house—a $300 value. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance for $10. Other raffle prizes include goods and services from local vendors. Davis Ranch also has ample room for camping with access to facilities, a swimming pool, a tree house, hiking, fishing and a herd of friendly longhorns. Lisa and Todd Johnson have been operating Energies Balanced, in East Austin, for over 10 years and are committed to enriching the lives of others by teaching high-quality self-care practices.
