IAM Heart cofounder Susanna Bair will be offering several meditation workshops on the seven chakras at St. David’s Episcoal Church, in Austin, including an introductory session from 6 to 8 p.m., February 21; a full-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., February 22; and an advanced workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., February 23.

The most effective way to change the energy body is by physically vibrating the heart, nerves and glands with vocalized sound. Bair will demonstrate and teach seven sounds for stimulating the heart and the body’s seven energy centers. Participants will begin with the most basic sound the voice can make, which has no consonants, vowels or syllables. As this sound is blown into the heart, the energetic heart expands. Then they will add rhythm to the sound, giving it modulation and quality. Adding the heart sound will vibrate the chest and radiate energy from a magnetic heart. And finally, they will add different consonants to tune the body’s energy system in a particular way, with different internal vibrations and sensations.

This is an ideal seminar for practitioners of energy psychology and energy medicine, as well as for those seeking to learn more about the seven chakras and looking to begin meditating. We can energize our heart to improve cardiac health, heal emotional wounds and open the doors to the energy body.

Location: 301 E. 8th St., Austin. Cost: free (Feb. 21); $99 per person or $119 for two (Feb. 22); $200 (Feb. 23). For more information, call 520-299-2170 or visit IAMHeart.org/ seminars.
